Advise please Stock Front fork .95 spring stock valving

I have a 1998 superhawk with Stock Front fork a race tech .95 spring I need to reuse the stock valving because i cannot afford a gold valve kit. I read that the heaver spring will over load the stock valves. Also a heavier oil would help.

My question is what type of oil and how much.

Im desperate and on a budget

Thanks for any advice in advance!

I like the Silkolene 7.5 wt in my Hawk. I recall Jamie Daugherty recommending an air gap of 120mm.

The bike is undersprung, but over damped on the compression like all Hondas. With the heavier front spring the forks will not compress as quickly which will mess with the compression damping some, but is going to come back up much faster and more forcefully so your rebound damping is going to be an issue... This could bite you on trail braked turn ins and turns with rolling undulations as the fork coming up quickly will unload the front tire contact patch...
