GREENHOUSE WARMING! NATIONS MAY VANISH! UN SAYS!

"A senior UN environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is NOT REVERSED BY THE YEAR 2000.

Makes good press doesn't it? The media blows it all out of proportion because it boosts ratings. "Global Cooling" was the big scare in the early '70s. The last official "mini" Ice Age ended just over 150 years ago, so of course there has been warming.

I live in an 1100 square foot house with no air conditioning (its a beach town, even 4000 sq ft homes don't have A/C). Al Gore's house is huge, and his energy bill is almost $30,000 per year. And I don't fly in private jets, ride in huge limos and eat so much that I get fat. So I'm MUCH "greener" than Al Gore.

Agreed!

I live in a 1,000 sq ft house with two roommates, my electric bill is about $60/mo, water $100/mo. I also maintain my vehicles rather than throwing them out and buying new ones. I can afford to waste more energy and resources, but I choose to live below my means.

As much energy as Al Gore wastes, he pollutes more with his mouth. His wallet is VERY green though.

True, every time he opens his mouth he is emitting CO2.

And bullshit too. Which I believe releases methane.

CH4(g) + O2(g) → 2CO(g) + 2H2O(l) + 890 kJ/mol

I checked my electric bills... My house used 4,008 kWh last year, that's 2% of Al Gore's usage. Yes, Al Gore's household used 50 times more electricity than mine. And probably 100x more gas!

The effect humans have had on the environment is nothing compared to what this thing could do in a matter of hours, maybe less.

This common argument is addressed in post # 19, with the data that proves it wrong. Nice graph, too. 9 of the 10 warmest years in the last 100 were 2000-2008. The 10th was the very unusual year of 1998.
The Chinese are starting to do something about it, with major efforts underway on solar cells and electric cars. More than 90% of India's citizens think the (democratic) government should take action. The world meets at the end of this year to come up with a global plan. Whether or not the outcome will be positive remains to be seen, but we were pretty much the last advanced country to deny the reality of the issue.

Thank you for the civility of your post. Sincerely.

And then the self absorbed jerk had to tell us that he considered suicide because of the Climategate scandal. This arrogant *** worked to enslave the rest of us using outright lies and fraud and he's got the nerve to tell us how bad this scandal made him feel.

Funny that this thread fizzled out before the fraud that is global warming, er climate change, was exposed for the lie that it is. I wonder where Redone is now and if he still believes in this religion.

Just for fun I went back to see what my first post in this thread was way back on August 6, 2009. Looks like I nailed it, and I wasn't the first in the thread either. Both lazn and RCVTR beat me to the punch. Below is my second post in this thread.

To say that based on this woefully inexact science and computer modeling that has proven over and over to be inaccurate we should pass laws that allow governments to tax the living **** out of every human being on Earth and to radically reshape society because of something that might be is beyond stupid.
This is an agenda driven hoax.
Hey, this is fun!

The bad part is that even though anthropogenic global warming, er, climate change, has been exposed as a colossal hoax, cap and trade provisions are going to be implemented through the executive branch and through local governments as if nothing had ever happened.

If that's the case, then yes, he's been lying all along and he knows it.

Nobody considers suicide because their office is messy, which is all the article really reveals.

The whole thing is a fraud designed to help usher in the New World Order via a global cap and trade system. Yep, he knew it all along.

RCVTR is an unknown quantity at this point
It's all unraveling for poor Al Gore's last shot at a purpose in life:

Has anyone seen the Phil Jones admissions about his woeful caring of the data and sloppy analysis broadcast on any major TV network?

Can't say that I have. The government and media will carry on with the charade as if nothing had been exposed.
