Tire Education (car) could save a life...
You all probably know this already.
But this was news to me, and I especially like that they explain the 'code' for tires, so when I buy new ones I can check to see how old they are!
So I thought I would share the info...
I hope this link works!

It should come up with Aged Tires: A Driving Hazzard?

The coding is a bitch for guys or women with collector cars. If you only drive it a few hundred miles a year, a tire store won't patch or balance them after 6 years.
Its all fallout from the Ford Explorer/Firestone Wilderness/AT fiasco several years ago. If everyone just monitored their tire inflation as well as most motorcyclists do there would be no problem.
Tires age and crack, and at any sign of cracking in the tread area they should not be driven at high speed.
Motorcycle tires get hard and lose grip when they get too old. But the tires most of us use don't last long enough to be a problem.
