Just got back from a test ride on a Ducati Streetfighter, what an animal!

Instant acceleration and surprisely quick turn in for a bike with a 58 inch wheelbase...feels totally different from the Superhawk, except for the characteristic v-twin throb at idle, which is amplified by a factor of 10 on the Duc.

Tested a Street Triple yesterday and the riding position and handling are similar, but the Triple has a pussycat engine compared to the Duc.

 

Where on Oahu can you accelerate past 2nd gear on a machine like that?

 

legally?...nowhere...

there are a couple of not so secret "secret" roads, you've just got to be there when the police aren't...
