this.

This is definitely going to put the bike-buying-plan on hold. But, I've been looking around, and I want to get back on a vtwin. I don't know if that will involve a Superhawk, but it will definitely be a sport (sporty?) bike.

Just thought I'd share with you guys. Been away for awhile. Baby, and all that jazz.

The TL-S is a nice car. And if you can afford and are happy paying for it and its fuel, more power to you. But me personally? I would not spend 35k-40k on a car that gets 20-23 mpg on premium $4.75 a gallon gas if I had to give up my 40+ mpg bike to get it.

I didn't mind selling the 900. That just paves the way for something newer and shinier later.

You'd be surprised at the #'s for the TL-S: I'm getting 28mpg highway. That efficiency isn't too far off from the 900 (~35mpg highway).

35 mpg on the bike sucks, 28 mpg out of the TL-S is pretty good. Besides, on a day like today a car with A/C beats the hell out of a bike.

Egg-zachary. My fat-*** drags down any bike.

I was only getting 30-32 with the Superchicken. Time to go on a diet...

Nice car! And Aegean Blue, the best color.
I'm tired of driving a truck around, but stuck with it for now.

Enjoy it!

I gotta tell you... If I had a TL-S... And wanted a Vtwin bike to match... I might just have to find a TL1000R for the two wheeler toy..

Or I could get the half-faired TL-S for a bit of silliness. But my heart is set on an RC51. Or a Tuono. Or the Mille R / Factory.

Thanks RCVTR! I wish they would just refer to the car as "blue." But Acura (and all other car manufacturers) have to come up with "clever" names. So my car is Kinetic Blue Pearl. =|

Still have the TL-S, but now I've added this sucker:

My first Kawi bike! A 2005 ZX6R (636). More trackdays soon to follow for me.

A little of both, actually.

I did get a raise, and have a few more coming my way. And they say city-work pays beans.

Hell, my '85 Corvette can do 27-28mpg highway on regular. Superhawk is good for 40-45 mpg if I only break the law 50% of the time. I hope that TL has much more going for it.

I'm amazed how little the fuel economy has improved over the years. Too much extra weight and electronic b.s. on these new cars. My '69 Chevy with a carb gets 15 mpg. My new F150 got 17-18 mpg.

Sound deadening material, extra window and door seals, additional supplemental restraint systems...all these things increase the vehicle's overall weight. They are designed to increase the comfort and safety of the passengers.

You can't have your cake AND eat it too.

Nice car man.

So you sold a bike, yet still have a bike and a nice looking car. Well done.

Speaking of car seats, I need to go shopping for a forward facing one soon. It never ends, this black hole I keep dumping my wallet into.

The most current shot of the bike:

Yes, way crossed up. My form needs work.
