R/R replaced and the bike is still dead. WTH

Hey,

I recently replaced my R/R after my bike died on the freeway. I figured this would be a simple swap out and I would be riding again but no dice. I switched the R/Rs and still no power. Battery is showing charged and I checked all the fuses. Am I missing something? Could the R/R have possible blown another electrical component?

Help!

Did you check to make sure your Main fuse isn't blown?

Opps, that was it. The 30amp was blown. I forgot that one is hiding over there.

Bike up a running, now the rain needs to go away!

Good thing it was something simple!

Did you replace it with a stock R/R or did you get something else? I swapped in an R1 unit 2 weeks ago.

I was looking at replacing it with an R1 R/R but I was looking for a fast fix because I'm getting ready to deploy and I wanted to get in a few hours of saddle time before I left. I purchased an R/R from Street Bike Warehouse that is the same size as stock put has cooling fins. I will upgrade to the better R1 R/R one winter when the bike is sitting idle in the garage.

That is pretty funny, but let me tell you something.

My first R/R caught on fire

I replaced the wiring harness and R/R with an OEM one

it was kinda fun and my bike got some action

And 2 months later the OEM one blew again and I finally just made the R1 R/R upgrade. Please dont be me. Replace upgrade your R/R
