SOCAL SH owners... lets meet up!!

I know there are at least 3-5 of us here...

I have put together 'meet and greets' for my Full Size Jeep buddies in SOCAL before.... nothing much.. just a planned meeting place for some food and social gathering. Could be lunch or dinner... doesnt matter... but a popular place that most would know is preferred ( IE HOOTERS in Mission Valley comes to mind )

Kinda gets you 'networked' with local guys and gals that share your insterests and gives you someone to turn to for help/questions and just plain new friendships that you would not have other than the net.

What do you guys think? I live in Sun City ( 10 miles north of Temecula) but commute to San Diego every day for work....

Come awn SOCAL riders.... yeah or neah?

I'm in Long Beach, Ca and would be interested in riding with other shawk riders.
Noticed earlier that Brent was in Glendale.
I talk to most shawk riders I happen to meet in the local canyons. mostly Santa Monica mountains and Crest. I don't get down to Palomar too often.

Palomar is tore up pretty bad and the black and whites are still hovering like vultures.....

Once we get a few more to chime in... lets see what will be best for all and maybe to a central location to be fair.

thanks for replying....

I'm over in the San Fernando Valley. Once a meet place/day/time is decided, I'll do my best to make it.

HA! I still haven't been to that hooters, that sounds like a blast, even if it's just a pre-meeting for us southern southern california folks. Count me in!

superhawk22 is an unknown quantity at this point
Somebody find me a cheap house for a family of four and I'll shang-hi the wife. I live in S.FLA but have always always always wanted to live in the outer San Diego area. Ever since I watched on any sunday II I've wanted to move to Cali wheh wheh! Now if housing wasn't so damn much over there I'd sell everything and move today.

Superhawk22,

I hear ya... I just my 4 bd house out here in May..... I got a GREAT deal at $335K.... 15 miles south of me the same house would have been close to $550K.... 65 miles south its closer to $650-$750K...

I chose to move WAY NORTH of San Diego for cost, and its growing RAPIDLY still where I am at.

I know ALOT of people that commute over 100 miles a day to work in San Diego because of the cost of housing. Look at a map.... search for El Centro, Ca..... 116 miles east of San Diego over the mountains... people are FLOCKING there for 150K houses and commuting daily... NO JOKE

( now back to the topic )

Glad to see we are showing interest in a meet and greet...

I can care less if only 3 people show up.... but the more interest we get... the better this can be.

Get the word out if you have local SH owners that may not be on the board.

thanks... once we get a few more... we can start looking at a date/time/place.

Thanks to those who have repsonded thus far.

Well, um, I don't know - I didn't ask him yet.
So, um, Mike, when are we all getting together to make my bike run as sweet as it looks? I've got a couple of BBQ's at my place, but never ran them head to head.... :-)

P.S. Happy Birthday.

Oh yeah - my elementary school buddy is getting married that weekend, so I'm gone then too. Ha! This weekend's shot for you?
P.S. Since this *is* the off-topic thread, like my car pics from last night? You should see the landscapes I did. I would have taken the bike, but I didn't want to get the fur wet.
