quick review of trip to south texas/mexico

This is what I have learned about my recent trip to my extended family South of the border in no particular order

1) under no circumstances ever joke with the Customs officer upon returning to country.

2) Although it may seem funny to you, dropping your father-in-laws truck, house, rv, work, and car keys in 30 feet of water with 5ft visibility will not win any special places with your inlaws.

3) Dolphins hurt when running into you at any rate of speed

4) the worm in the bottom of the tequlia doesn't taste like chicken

5) never do any shots deemed "FREE" when visiting another country, lesson should be learned after 1 not 6 shots

6) Whataburger makes the best burgers for fast food that I've ever tasted.

7) Cuban Cigars no matter what the price smells like they were pulled out of a fat chicks *** prior to lighting

8) Cuban Cigars no matter what the price tastes like they were pulled out of a fat chicks *** after they are lighted

9) No matter how hot your sister-in-law looks, walking in on her while she takes a shower with a clear plastic shower curtain and asking "have you seem my tootbrush" will make the wife upset and again not win any special places with the inlaws.

Pics or you're lying.

Sounds like you had a fun trip filled with lots of memories! Too bad the wifey is in them.

I wish I was, my wife didn't speak to me for the rest of the day because of that one, nor will she let me have any kind of interaction with her sis. The best part is that they are twins, the problem is when they get pissed and start yelling it's like hearing my wife in stereo.

You have been assimilated, resistance is futile. A #1 with cheese and jalepenos is a little bit of heaven! :-)

I'm going to Mexico in two months to they Mayan Riviera.

Did you need a passport? Last time I went to Cancun, I got through customs with just a birth certificate.

Passports will be required for air travel to Mexico after Dec 31, 2006.
I don't know if that applies to crossing at the border.

What resort are you staying at. We usually stay at the Barcelo Maya Resort south of Playa del carmen - a real nice place. Went there in April, you can still see the effects of the hurricane on the trees and billboards.

on 1 Jan 08 you will need to have a passport to enter Mexico using all current forms of travel, walking, driving, flying, boat, but swimming is a whole new ballgame
