So this is the official new post ***** thread, eh? I guess this is where I introduce myself. I just bought a 98 Superhawk yesterday (Friday the 13th), which would probably explain why the rectifier is toast after my first day of riding. My previous ride was a 2003 Honda 919. Quite possibly the best all-around street-bike I've ridden, but I wanted something sportier. Anyone need a used 919 with 29,000 miles? I've already found this site useful in diagnosing the failed rectifier and the member base seems quite active and knowledgeable. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

That's kind of sad... on both accounts.
Well, It wasnt just him. I had to run out of town last minute, too... My dad sank his boat.. I had to go help him recover it.. I'll post pics if he says it's ok...

Ouch, boat recovery is rarely, if ever, fun.

Welcome. You would be better off posting an introduction in the general discussion forum. Just don't let anyone beat up on you. You might want to ask for some advice on oils, gas and tires for these bikes.

Don't forget to complain about the range per tank... or ask what tire pressure.. or average running temp... or how to get the seat off.. (that's what this thread was started about)

And DAMMIT.. don't forget to insist YOUR color IS the fastest color!

Check out my bike. Someone messed it up bad, but I'm saving it.

Bad day at work (which continues on in to today), too much energy, and excited about the prospect of getting my car back today, kept me from getting to sleep.

I needed to do it, I couldn't find half my damned DVDs anyway and I got all 173 organized and put away.

Dude.. didnt you say you were a bar manager? How can you have a bad day at work? I would love to run a bar or a night club. I Barbacked in Highschool at the hottest club in the area.. had anywhere from 2500 to 4000 peeps through a night... (i know, I worked the door some.. and we charged $1 a head, unless we knew you.. and I had to help count the door till some nights.. ) I made damn good money too... was taking home 10% of bar tips, and makin minimum wage.. I loved it... if I had my choice that's what Id be doing now... well not barbacking... but tending or managing..

accident, they were at fault. My car is basically a target for stupid people to hit. Guy turned left in front of me when I had a green light. I tagged front passenger side of my car into rear passenger side of his QX45. $16,800 in damage later I should get my car this week. The accident was 4/18.

Question for you... Do you feel like the "cherry" is popped on it now? I know the first scratch, or dent, or wreck.. I am ready to sell. It's just not the same as it was anymore.. even though it looks as well.. I know that it's not perfect, and it gets under my skin. Til finally I sell.

May be just my idiosincracy... I was just windering if I was alone... May be why I'm so poor.
