I would think that if a cop really wanted to give you a ticket, he could come up with something...

 

No law I know of specifically naming wheelies in CA anyhow. I know FL has or is considering a 2 wheels in contact at all times law.

I got a talking to when I was 16 and riding wheelies in deserted parking lot. The cop told me to knock it off or he would ticket me for exhibition of speed. I said "I'm not speeding", to which he replied "that's the ticket I normally give to cars doing burn outs, and a wheelie is the same thing".

Okay, I spoke with some local law enforcement officers...

 

they tell me that there is no Texas law that spells out "wheelies" but it is up to the officer to interpret the offence. If he feels you are endangering others he can arrest you for Reckless Driving. They no longer issue tickets for Reckless Driving, they simply lock you up.
