Yup... The way it's supposed to be made, mead will get you drunk twice as fast as any whiskey... It's strong... and a bit deceptive...

Heh... possibly... But the swedes aren't that bad anyways... The vikings did drink too...

But I actually believe the Gaelic was kind of born out of the fact that you can't really feel your tongue after a couple of dramms (what a "shot" of whiskey is called, altough a shot here indicates roughly a mouthfull...) It really helps the pronounciation...
