I had turkey last night and ham this weekend.

 

I actually enjoy T-day more than Xmas because you can just relax and enjoy the family instead of the rush around presents.....

 

Of course it is cheaper too. Especially since my son was born on Xmas day.

 

I've spent the last 4 days completely re-wiring my car. I decided to install a new stereo and surprise surprise the jack *** that owned it before me had some ideas of his own. I had to rebuild the factory radio harness, remove a remote start, remove an alarm,(none of which worked) and replace all the ignition wires he had destroyed.

As far as I can tell he did all his work with a pocket knife and electrical tape.

And then I got to the fun part, I had to replace every single speaker wire in the entire car. He had done the same thing, but somehow managed to put a crappy splice in the line about every foot.

Guess that's just one of the risks with buying a used car...

 

Well, Drew, if you're done... you could come re-do all the wiring in my car too. I haven't screwed with it yet, but I don't have the patience to screw with it either.

It's a few years older. It's a '95, and I will be doing some track days in it eventually. The PO was a lady who only took care of things when the lights came on. The car was parked outside without tinted windows in Texas everyday of it's life, so the exterior and interior aren't in great shape. They're not bad, but.... they're not up to my standards.

I autocrossed my old cars and of the cars I was looking at I was looking for something I could have fun with both on the street and track.

 

So yea, it's an E36.

 

The BMW clubs usually put on some good track days. Enjoy.

 

I'm hoping so. I already hooked up with a local guy who races his M3, and talked with quite a few people in San Antonio who race periodically as well.

 

It's definitely taking some getting used to though. I'm not used to having hardly any body roll in a car.... and this one has a lot of it. Looks like I'm going to be doing some suspension research for a while to get this one dialed in.
