A friend (part of the group of really old riders) let me ride his Kaw. The ergonomics and light weight made so easy to ride. First gear is a little lackluster, but the SH is the only bike that I have ridden in many decades.
Brakes felt good, handling, for how I rode it, was smooth and confidence inspiring.
One of the other friends in the group just picked up an '08 Suzuki SV650. I would really like to get a test ride on that.
Really makes me think that something like the Suzuki, Triumph ST or maybe the new Yamaha 07 would be about perfect for me. Looking forward to the intro of Triumph's 800 ST.
So for now powering out of corners on the SH with a big grin on my face will have to do.

 

Yeah i really like the way the Ninja 300 Special Edition looks. A local guy here bought one and powdercoated the wheels Kawi green and it looks awesome. Would love to hear one with a pipe on it, and i'm certain shorter gearing would make it super fun, like every other bike.
