but to be fair. 30k is too much of a premium for a bike without traction control or ABS. It has to compete with BMW and Honda who have multiple ST bikes which carry a legacy of refinement.

That thing has got a long way to go to compete with BMW and Honda... they've got to make a name for themselves first, then when they are able to make bikes and sell in a quantity even close to the bigger brands so they can lower prices... then they can be compared. One step at a time.

Agree with 7Moore7. Motus is for the guy who wants an American sport-tourer, can afford but doesn't want to shell out for(or want) ScreamingChicken, or CVO, or whatever the high-cost H-D line is. Wants function, so that rules Indian out, but has the dollars to get something unique, fun, once again American made, and is Fun to ride. Plus, just listen to that thing.... Did I mention FUN?

Exactly Geezer, FUN. We LOVE our V-twin, I can only imagine the power from a V4 with 122 ft/lbs. That's 150% of our beloved Hawks.

There is no price out there yet. Estimations start at 20K for the MTS-01 and 30K for the MTS-R, which will have Ohlins suspension and some other goodies.

Yeah. Fun is why I walked away from the Domestic brand 22 years ago. Woke up one day, and realized that I wasn't having fun riding anymore. Too much "Lifestyle" stuff, attitude, etc. Plus, the bikes weren't really much Fun to ride. Not like when it was an adventure, when things are new. Switched up, kept riding, Yam, BMW, Honda.

Emma is Fun. I would bet that the Motus would be, too. I'm willing to take one for an extended spin!

Kudos to these guys for building the dream.

And what's wrong with pushrods... who cares? Not me. Plus you don't have put shims under those little bucket thingies. (Talk about archaic.) Screamer revs? Really don't care.

I have always loved to see exposed exhaust headers in a motorcycle, so maybe that's why I love this engine configuration so much. Plus you get a good view of the cylinder heads to boot. Engine looks awesome to me and the sound is special too. Put me down for the streetfighter when I hit the lottery.
