Happy Canada Day!!!!
Just a quick note to wish all of my fellow countrymen a very happy Canada Day. WE have much to be proud of, and feel fortunate about. I especially want to salute all the brave servicemen and women who have fought so hard and at great peril to defend our values and beliefs in previous conflicts and in the current one in Afghanistan. Thank you.
Now go out there and celebrate!!!!!

What a totally classless reply (aka threadjack)...... Thankfully, most Americans on this site have more common courtesy and respect than to post this kind of garbage reply, although you obviously don't..... FWIW, just curious as to how you'd feel if someone made similar slurs about your "Independence Day", indeed your country?
Oh, and start your own f***ing thread if you want to wish your countrymen happy July 4th, ********.....

Joe's been around here for a long time like you. Because of that, we ALL have found our inappropriate moments.
Nobody has nine lives around here so just chill.
I grew up about 200 miles from Canada. I enjoy it's people, what they do for American companies that want to outsource jobs, their hydro-electricity, the fishing back in my teens and the diamond mines.
OOOOh! Canadaaa! and it goes on from there! Happy Birthday, Neighbors!

You are quite correct on virtually all counts and, truth be told, there is no one I would rather have as a neighbour. However, his post was just plain wrong, not to mention insulting (to me anyhow).......

Also less than 200 miles to the south and I for one appreciate the Molson's, the '76 olympics I saw while spending time at my grandparents in St Lambert, and of course the ballet!
Happy Birthday Canada - hope you had a good one Micky

I was born & raised like 15 miles from Canada. Went over the peacebridge every weekend to party. I didnt mean to ruin your post or holiday. I was more thinking of Canadian bacon the movie. Dont be sore, we'll still make sure no bullies come bother you guys.

The last bit (while somewhat true, although perhaps less so nowadays, is appreciated FWIW) kind of destroys the rest of the post but I'll take the high road......
