End of season sales

This is a tough time of the year for a bike owner in the colder areas of the country. Weekends when its too cold or raining leaves you with too much time to look around while you still have the itch to ride. Add to that the dealers start pushing the "end of the season sales".

Went into a local Triumph dealer and saw they had priced the latest Speed Triple at just over $10K. Seems like a nice bike for that money. Having never ridden one i'd be interested in hearing from someone who owned one.

Then I made the mistake of reading one of the teasers online about Aprilia going to the new v4 engine for the next Tuono. Makes sense if they were going to switch the engine they'd be unloading the bikes. A quick search showed a new Tuono Factory R (with Ohlins forks and shock, upgraded brakes) could be had for a bit under $12K. Not bad for a bike typically going for $16-17K.

You guys living in warm weather areas of the country have it good. At least when you're ridding you're not daydreaming about other bikes you "could" get. Think I need to move someplace warm.
