Hey folks,
I need to juice the brains of some high school students with ideas for cafe/ahrma racers. Pitch any ideas, post pictures, colors, etc. We killed the last one (it was sick), and want to do the same. The problem that any team runs into is the greenhorns. And high school kids are green. Base bike is a HONDA cb175. Rich colors, vintage, new, old, whatever it could tickle the fancy of true enthusiasts. In the end, the kids decide, design, build, so ideas are what they need.

Are all of these your class projects? If so great job!! I don't know what to suggest for a CB175 other than the cafe racer thing, unless you wanted to go alternative fuel or electric, but I look forward to seeing it develop.

 

Those are just ideas. The bike we built last year was pretty awesome, I had posted links to the pictures last year. We are on to another, and the 175 fits the 200gp class of ahrma, so that is what we are going to work with. I want to pitch as many ideas at the kids before they start cooking up their plan.

 

Ok, so the guys are on a course here for either a miracle or a total loss. Here is the plan:

Custom frame, trellis style
90 degree crank (sounds like v twin)
Ducati type of look(not sure what)
Revised geometry for handling (getting help from frame crafters)
megaphone exhaust, velocity stack intakes
All but front fairing custom...Which leads me to a request, I need a CRF 250 or 450 tank from a twinspar aluminum frame (2004ish). If anyone has one that they can part with, give me a shout.
