Or even worse paying taxes to bail out *ucking banks who would not give you a 1 cent loan if you needed it. Those bank are just trying to hold on to all their "green".

Edmonds.com reported today that Cash for Clunkers cost us, the taxpayers, over $24,000 per car sold during the program.

This is based on the number of cars sold that can be attributed to the Cash for Clunkers program, versus the number of cars that would have been sold anyway. According to their calculations only 125,000 extra cars were sold, above what would have been sold. And that brings the benefit of the program to $24,000 per car.

And guess where that money came from, You and Me the Taxpayers.
