The Boys Of Pointe Du Hoc

Today is the 66th anniversary of D- Day.

This is the speech Ronald Reagan gave on the 40th anniversary.

We owe them more than could ever be expressed in words. They gave and sacrificed so much.

I put our flag out at 5am, when my wife and I got up to watch the MotoGP.

This one needs a bump. Come on guys. June 6th is one of the most important days in modern history.

It wasn't just Americans storming those beaches either. It was a multi national Allied attack.

Thanks, Surfer. Sad fact is, most Americans (and probably most forum members) know more about Lady GaGa than they do about D-Day, American history or Western culture.

here's some pictures along with Eisenhower's address.

I hear you. I doubt if 50% of Americans under the age of 30 could even name the decade in which World War II was fought.

And most of them voted for the guy that's in the White House now.

I know what you mean and there is no escaping those types of people being a service member I actually serve with people that have no idea about our countries history. I know I got to meet and spend some time with some WWII vets back in 2004 in Guam for the liberation day parade it was amazing those guys were awesome.

Original post has R. Reagan's tribute to the men of D-Day;

What about President Hopie Changie?

Barak Obama ignores D-Day anniversary - Goes To Theatre Party.

The White House website has nothing posted today on the 66th anniversary of the D-Day landing.

http://biggovernment.com/jhoft/2010/...theatre-party/

He's got no time for the men who sacrificed on D-Day. He disrespects and insults our British, Polish and Israeli allies.

Yet he bow like a loyal little slave boy to the tyrant who owns his ***.
