My kids are the ones with the funky hubs. Just wait to you see the brake backing plates. They are just as off the hook. Pics will come soon. There are many events for this summer:
Memorial Day weekend: Iron Horse Hotel
June 10-12: Road America AHRMA- bikes are going to be raced
Rockerbox
Mods vs Rockers (Chicago)
And a month long display at Discovery World
August will see 3 of the bikes auctioned off to help support the build for next year.

Cool, We have 3 weeks until the original deadline, although sources have said that they might give 1-2 weeks extra (more or less up to the date of the show). This means that we have A LOT of crap to do. I am hoping to have all machining, welding, fabrication done this week. Then it will be all paint and assembly. And then R&R.

its always the small detail stuff that gets you too. It always seems that way for me, one small detail will stand in the way of riding it complete and its always some silly thing too. Like an electrical gremlin, or waiting for a tire because the first one was the wrong size, stuff like that.

This may be the coolest thread ever. I just cant figure how the universe allowed me to not be born into a situation that I wasnt one of your students doing this. I hope they realize how cool and irreplaceable this whole thing is. My old race buddy is the wrench for team obsolete here in the city.

Bump Bump!!
Hey folks, I need your positive energy and thoughts here. My crew has 10 days left. We have to make it rain, a drizzle wont do, and we were hoping for a down pour. Get out there and like Build Milwaukee | Facebook The next ten days are going to be 14 hour days between school and the bike for my students, do they have what it takes? I hope so.

Wow! This is cool, great job!
The CB160 has a special place in my heart, since it was the first real motorcycle that I rode, back in 1966 when my best friend's Dad bought one for his 2 sons. I should have been so lucky, since my Dad would have killed me if he knew I even rode a motorcycle back then.
All I'd ridden before that was a Suzuki 60 that topped out at just over 50, leaning over the tank. By comparison that CB160 hauled ***. Baby Superhawk.
Looks like you've got some great students.

Our bike and one other will be auctioned (was supposed to be 3, one team dropped). I am unaware on how they are going to do it, but Aug 25 seems to be the date. The bikes will be at a show in CHI, Mods VS Rockers, so dont miss that.
