Aussie Slang

From time to time myself and a couple of other Aussie guys post on here and as we have some funny expressions I thought it relevant to give you an idea of what some of our slang means.

1-Starve the Lizards, this is a common expression used in many different ways that basically means You Don't Say, or Leave Me Alone!

If you are interested there are plenty more.

Poofteenth, this is a very technical measuring term and is used like this.

You are trying to fit a bracket to something and there is one bolt hole that is just a fraction out, whatever you do don't measure how far out it is, and when a mate asks you how you went fitting the bracket, you say it just missed out fitting by a poofteenth!

Even if you measure it you still say, it missed out by a poofteenth! Otherwise said mate will think your ****.

Some do, and if they do we would call them Dodgey, this means that they are of dubious character or "Shithouse" tradesmen.

Shithouse means terrible.

Some more for you that may explain a previous post referring to my Kangaroos' Poofle Valve, this means Rectum!

Rubbity Dub means a hotel or as you folks may call it the Bar, a place where you imbibe alcohol "sherbets" and get pissed "Drunk" and usually run into some deadshits, just what it sounds like, people who give you the *****.

Also, you might get lucky and meet a cracking Sheila"Good looking woman" who is up for a root"sexual intercourse" if your lucky.

I will leave it at that for now, however somewhere along the line there will be a test to see how well you would go in a social situation with a fair dinkum "true" red blooded Aussie bloke"man" or Sheila!

Ooh roo"Bye for now"
