Amazing Price

No affiliation, but noticed this on ebay. I just can't believe the price that these bikes are selling at.

Such is the fate of a dead brand....

As an aside, I still cannot get over Harley`s decision to kill off Buell. After tying their hands for years by having them try to develop and market sportbikes based on useless Harley lumps, they finally get it right with a new engine deal with Rotax only to be shut down two years later. I guess it is the final blatant display of mismanagement afforded to Buell since being taken over by Milwaukee....

it's certainly a lot of bike for the money these days, that's for sure. I suppose everyone is balking because of the unknowns of how Erik will support the bikes going forward.

The 1125 was definitely the right step. I had some issue with the looks of the bike with those air intakes up front, but this was the most ride-able Buell I've been on.

Have you read that Erik has already bumped up the 1125 to an 1190? Wow!

true, but this is also a world where one can find new, still-in-the-crate 2008 CBR1000RRs for $6800 (in the US anyhow, prices in Canada have remained quite stable by comparison)

yeah, and those are terrific prices too. However, I'm a twin cylinder junkie.

(except I may consider a GSXR750 for when I want to get a "final" track bike.)

While that price isn't bad, there were some Buell dealers offering brand-new ones for less than that right after the announcement came out...

Rotax should support those engines w no issues for years to come. They are a solid brand.

Suspension is standard too, so I wouldn't worry about reliability. If I had that much $$ for play money I would be sorely tempted. But I need to pay down my bills now that I am a home owner :P

I found some CRs close to 6, and Rs in the 6 to 6500 range, but nothing below 5995...if I remember correctly. maybe 5495? I think there were probably OTD costs on top of those numbers though.

Anyway, those were terrific prices too. this one just caught my eye while browsing through.
