IS $500 about the going price for a used set like that? Seems a little steep to me.

I think that now that it is getting warm and heading into riding season for those of us in the chilly climates, you are going to see the demands for these sorts of items increase. I think that it is a little pricey, but I dont think that you are going to see the prices come down. The two RC51 front ends that sold this weekend went for ~$600

I never bothered to add mine all up, but with the fender and steering head bearings it was probably more than $700.
