I was wondering if anyone had an old set of V&H SS2r mid pipes they would want to sell. The chain side one of mine has a small scrape and I would like to replace it. The mid should have H701 stamped it in. I might even be intrested in both (H700 and H701), depending on the price. I contacted V&H and they stated the mids were discontinued, and they do not have any in stock.

If I remember they're stainless and not chrome plated correct? How bad/deep is the scrape? Is it dented or flattened at all? If not it may be able to be sanded and polished out.

It's not too bad, I am going to try and start sanding this weekend and we'll see how it works out.

Anytime. You just want to be careful obviously and not go through the metal. I've had great results in the past. If it were flattened out or dented a little there are at least two places online I've found that do dent removal from pipes and the prices are reasonable. And then you can sand out the scratches.
