WTB Super Hawk Fuel Tank w/keyless cap

I have 2 dented up tanks that are usable and clean inside. I'm looking for one with no dents that Im going to paint. I also would like a keyless gas cap. I have VTR parts to trade or cash.

What makes you think that? You will have to put your reserve light sensor in it to replace the fuel sender, but it should work.

From what I remember 2004 bikes had slightly more capacity and the tank was a bit longer. Also I do not want to go threw the trouble and expense of turning a black tank red.

In the US the size is the same, and even if you're lucky enough to find a larger euro tank it's still going to fit...

+1. I have a tank from an 03 on my 99. Bolts right up, including all the internals and cap. Gives me an extra litre of petrol, to use the Eurospeak. Bumped my range from about 110 miles to nearly 140 before needed to fill up. That's key for long road trips in Nevada. Nothing but Jack Rabbits and Coyote's as far as the eye can see, with few gas stations in between.
