WTB Stock Seat

I bought my bike with a Sargent seat already on it and the previous owner didn't have the stocker. If anyone has one they wouldn't mind parting with I'd like to have one. I want to at least try it out. The Sargent seems too hard for my posterior.

Would you consider a partual trade ? Ill even let you try the stocker first !( I wont miss it ) the only reason I have it is, in case I sell the bike . I already have a Corbin but would'nt mind having a Sargent as well .

I think I'd rather just get a stocker and keep the Sargent for now. I'm not sure if it's going to be better or worse for me. As little as I ride it could be a while before I form my opinion too.

I was actually looking at that very seat on E-bay. I was thinking there might be someone here that just wanted to get rid of one that is cluttering up their garage.

I dont blame you . Didnt hurt to ask right ? I think you would definetely miss your Sargent . The stocker is IMHO too soft ,makes the *** go numb after about an hour . Keep checking EBAY . I have seen them go for as little as $20 . Good Luck

Well that didn't work out so well! The stock seat apparently doesn't fit with the larger than stock carbon fiber tank. The seat is in good shape though! Thanks!

Yep, exactly! It's in great shape. I wish I could try it out. I haven't compared the Sargent to the stocker too much yet, but I think there may be a way to modify the stocker to fit. It would involve cutting away part of the plastic right at the front of the seat base. If I get a bug and really want to use it, I'll try that.

Are you sure about that? Every CF tank I've seen is the same front to rear. Modificationi is in width and height. That stock seat should fit. Sometimes they're a bitch to get on and off.

If I get some time in the next few days I'll take some pictures. If I look straight down at both seats, the little tongue thing on the Sargent seems like it sticks out further than on the stock seat. I put so much force on the stock seat trying to get it on that the bike was trying to roll forward. It wasn't happenin'.
