WTB Mirrors
Yamaha FZ1 Black New Style Racing Mirrors Left Right Set 2001 2005 | eBay
These are the FZ1 mirrors, I have them on my bike and they make a world of difference. You will have no problems seeing behind you.
To install, you just drill the rivet from the swivel on the bracket, file down locking tabs and install a bolt to hold the mirror shaft to the base, and you're good to go.
Just a thought.

I just took the base's off the stalks and filed down the fold in lockers so that I could adjust them to the position I wanted them in and installed them on the bike.
They do vibrate more than the stock mirrors do because of the long stems, but it doesn't bug me any.
If that doesn't work for you, I found these replacement VTR mirrors at $50 for a set when I was in need of one: http://www.flyncycle.com/replacement...-mrh002-b.html
