The only difference is 3 extra vacuum ports that would need to be plugged.

You really don't need the emulsion tubes. Unlike some carbs, the needles don't ride in them.

There is a separate tube the needles ride in which does wear out but is not replaceable, hence the need to replace the carb bodies on high mileage bikes.

Swapped mine out around a year and a half ago.
