WTB: Gas tank yellow

Hi all, my beautiful VTR1000 has a leaky tank. Please let me know if you are selling a yellow tank in good condition - or know where I can find one. Thanks!

Have you identified the location of the leak?

Yeah, there are pinhole leaks at the bottom side seams. I tried a tank sealer (KBS), but it didn't work, she's still leaking

Sorry to hear. As you have most likely figured out, tanks, especially undamaged, are getting quite rare. While searching for a replacement, also search for a welding service that will work on this type of project. Not the solution you are wanting, but might be the only course.
Good luck.

Yeah they are getting hard to find! Look after your tanks people!! Haha

Good idea about a repair service, seems equally hard to find though unfortunately.

Thanks for your message, it certainly is a frustrating problem!

POR15 makes a great product for sealing tanks. I've done a few older tanks with it and as I'm sure you know the prep sucks and is tedious and time consuming (cheap hair dryer on low is great for completely drying out the tank) but I've had good results with it. It's thick and more durable than some of the old school stuff I never really liked like KREEM.
