WTB: Aftermarket Air Filter

I just want some "high flow" or equivalent to K&N air filter...

Don't really care all that much what it is as long as it breathes better than stock, and is less than cost of K&N new...

I think a new K&N is nearly a hundred bux at best. This may be a very good deal without paying for the name. Sure looks like a K&N!

Not saying anything good or bad, but that doesn't look like a K&N. Your filter element looks bigger and it seems you have the air dam. Here's a K&N for reference.

I forget where I heard that FliFlo was related to K&N, but they look pretty close.. Heres a pic of the other side.

Note the rubber block things are incorporated with the plastic body.

If you are still looking, I have used BMC. It is used but previous owner used less than 1 hour of ridding and realize re-jetting is needed = he did not want to deal with jetting.

I was going to play with jetting, but not progressing.
So if yo uare interested in, let me know.

$40 shipped via usps including paypal fee.

It won't make your bike run better.

Do what you want. All the folks who built 150 hp racing VTRs in the 90s (Revolution Racing in the UK, Erion in the US etc.) came to the same conclusion;

Power wise and driveability wise, nothing beats the OEM Honda filter.

Very interesting. I have a heavily massaged engine and have never ran anything but a K&N on it. If i ever have to replace it, i may give the stock one a try.

From the consensus seen here, with my bike being jetted already... it should make it run better. The PO jetted with DynoJet under the "free flowing exhaust, and Aftermarket filter" options... the only thing missing in this case is the filter... So does anyone else have anything to contradict that?

I agree with KD, Very interesting. I would like to see their data sheets to see why they are stuck on the OEM... Does anyone have these that you know of?

I have never seen definitive proof that a K&N or other aftermarket filter makes more power even when jetted properly. They do flow more air and you will have to rejet, but you won't get a better power curve.
My bike is jetted, has a free flowing exhaust, ported heads and J&E high compression pistons. I have experimented with a K&N filter, but the current filter is a stock paper one.
