I just bought the Marchenisi wheels that were listed on the forum so I'm not going to be doing the USD fork swap. I just bought these 04/05 CBR1000RR forks 2 wks ago. They are for sale $500 shipped obo.

I'm sure you heard about my recent front end smash up but as far as I know its just cosmetic. The insurance appraiser comes out Thursday so I should know by this weekend what they're gonna give me so I can start tearing her down and find out whether or not the forks are tweaked...

If they are I may be interested, I was planning on a racetech factory fork rebuild..

Don't hold them for me, if someone is interested sell them but ill get back to you by this weekend and let you know if you don't mind holding off on putting them on eBay...

BTW what wheels fit on these besides the CBR ones?

 

And do you have the top triple or will these work w the SH triple

 

No the forks didn't come with the top clamp, they are available fairly cheap on ebay, and no you can't use SH top clamp or handlebars.

As far as wheel cbr,rc51 wheels work thru 2008 not sure about 09-12. You can use CBR600rr wheels as well but need to swap out the bearings and spacer.

 

They will not work with the SH triples, there is a whole thread on front end swaps.

 

That's what I figured... like I said I was planning a racetech rebuild so I haven't read every thread on the different front end swaps but I figure if I have to buy forks why not upgrade...

 

And I'm at work on my phone I just wanted aquick idea on wheel price that's why I asked instead of searched

 

Alright I'm just gonna come out and say it, I would like to buy them if your willing to hold onto them til I hear back from the insurance company...

Like I said the appraiser is doing his thing Thursday and I should hear back Thursday or Friday regarding what they will be giving me for compensation...

Its completely up to you otherwise ill check back in at the end of the week to see if you still have them

well if youve read my plans for the SH and the incident that happened the other day Id rather buy these and be able to bolt them in without having to rebuild them right away... I have enough work ahead of me with the stage 1 build and all the custom body and chassis work i have planned...

what was damaged in the accident was the fairing stay, gauge cluster, headlight, all the front plastics including the windscreen, left bar end and dampener, both levers and there might be one or 2 more things im forgetting at the moment...

I know thats atleast $1500-$2000 if not totaled given the low value... so regardless of the outcome I will be able to purchase these from you once I recieve payment from them.

I spoke to my claim adjuster yesterday who told me the appraiser will be out at somepoint thursday and she also told me I should have an answer thursday but Im going to give it til friday because if its totalled they send the claim to a different department...

I will be keeping my SH regardless of whether or not its totalled it just depends on when I recieve my check, so yes I am very interested I just apologize if this takes any longer then expected
