thinking about selling my 900RR custom front end

thinking about selling my 900RR custom front end

Sorry for the repost, I had a upload error: I got a set of 900RR front forks reworked by Traxxion with 900RR calipers, oversized rotors and caliper brackets, Erion Racing custom triple with holes to mount handle bars (not clip-ons) and braided lines. This is a great front end, nice and stiff. The brakes have about 500 miles on them. The triples are super trick, aluminium stem and the works. I'd say I have $2000 in this stuff. I think if I could $900 for the setup I'd let it go.

So, what weight are the forks setup for ? I assume they were reworked with a Superhawk in mind, weights, valving, etc. Wheel available with ?

They were built for a Superhawk. They were setup for someone around 210#. I'm 190# and it felt great with me. Most of the miles have been upper I group track day stuff, if the bike had a fairing these forks would be fine for A group stuff.

Come on, somebody must want this bad *** setup. I need to move on to my next front end. BTW no wheel included.

Yep, it all fits the stock wheel. You would need 900rr clip-ons.

sadly, as great as this set-up surely is (I have 900RR forks on mine, set up with GV valving specs from Roger D of Revolution Racing and love them, and yours is likely better yet given your triples and all), most will opt for USDs if for no other reason than the bling... good luck nonethless.

I agree with you, it's standard looking. But I bet nobody on this list could outride this frontend suspension or brake wise. It's great, rides great feels great and all that. I wouldn't sell it if I didn't have a line on an even cooler front end and brake setup (no, i'm not telling).

I am open to offers....

OK, I took pictures, if I resize them down to below 100k they look like ***. So we have two options. I can send the pics to someone else with better software, they can shrink them down and post them or I can email them to people. So let me know what to do.

And sorry but I'm not parting the front end out.

Now that pictures are up I guess I should add this package doesn't include the fender or it's mounts, the bars or bar mounts or the M/C or the front wheel.

You get the forks, triples, axle, brake lines, brake calipers and brackets, brake rotors and brake lines.

Damn, I wanted the brakes too.

Couldn't see paying $900 for an incomplete front end whe I just sold a very complete RC51 front end for $800. If you change your mind on the brake parts please let me know. Good luck with the sale.

Sweet looking bike BTW. Any idea what the size of the rotors are or what bike they were sourced from? If you end up keeping that frotn end, a swtich to different calipers (RC51/F4i/...) would be a substantial upgrade for you....

Sorry, for some reason I couldn't post the other day, they are 310s it's a Braking 900RR kit.

I will have to agree here. For someone looking to do a swap, this set up is great. The Moriwaki stage 2 spec bike I messed around with back in '99 had this front end and it was more than adequate.

Sadly, as Micky pointed out, most will pass on this set up for the bling of USD's

Good luck with the sale as I am really surprised no one has jumped on this yet.

You said in the first post that it has oversized calipers and rotors? How's that if you're not throwing in a wheel? Just wondering, it seems someone wanting more of a track day bike would jump on it!

You quoted your own answer... it all bolts up to a stock wheel... why would you need his?

If you look in the picture you'll see the carbon fiber and magnesium wheel that is currently installed, that isn't for sale. If you bought this setup the only thing you would have to buy that isn't a stock Superhawk part would be clip-ons.

If it's set up for an oversized rotor, how does a stock wheel (with stock rotor) bolt right up? Remove the caliper bracket?

The oversize rotor comes with the setup and bolts to the stock wheel?
