Greg vouched for him, but I have heard enough to make up my mind that I wouldn't even consider doing business with him.

From now on if someone does not have a solid rep they ship to me first. There is no deal sweet enough out there to risk your money.

Capt- That sucks.
I know on some forums that you can't sell somthing until you have say 25 post. This may not be a bad idea to look into here. It might keep people from signing up just to sell a couple of things then disapear.

I hate a scammer. Sorry to hear to those affected. I almost bought some of that stuff in that big sale too but pulled out of being leary.

I actually think a minimum post limit might be a good idea... But It's up to the powers that be...

I have to tell you, I just got banned from classifieds on another forum, only because I was new. I had just found the site, was trying to catch up on what was going on, and found a great deal. When I complained about being banned, the moderator hooked me right up. Personally, I'm not a fan of the minimum post ban.

I hear what you're saying. In this case, datdudeis2die4 had 25 posts when he posted his "For Sale" list. So it wouldn't have stopped what happened here. I was almost going to buy his headers, think I'll pass now.

for businesses and probably individuals you can contact your state attorney general's office and submit a complaint... I am currently going this route for a Canadien company I bought a fiberglass hood from for my '66 Stepside - I had heard nothing from the company in 3 years but within 15 minutes of receiving a call from the AG's office he had left me a voicemail about the hood. Good luck with this POS !

I've always thought that online dealings were risky, however I understand most deals go off without a hitch.
But crossing captainchaos seems like a really bad move. Can't you work some superpowers on him?

I've been on the short end of the shaft with them as well. I've even had my actual bank account affected by paypal because someone used a stolen credit card who bought a set of headlights from me. When the card came back stolen months later, the card provider demanded funds to reimburse themselves back for the loss. Well, that meant paypal getting reimbursed for having to payback the CC provider so therefore paypal took it upon themselves to go into anyones account that had done business with this individual and take money from their paypal account. If no funds were in their paypal account, then paypal went into your physical bank account and withdrew the money. If that wasn't bad enough, when I demanded a reimbursement back into my account from paypal, they told me pretty much "sorry, but here is $25 for you troubles but we have to get paid back". Probably came off confusing, I know, as I left a ton of details out but moral of the story, don't think paypal is a safety net because they can be just as crooked as a theif. My experience with them when I ran a internet business.

There is a spot about halfway down his myspace page that Hanknslash linked, that you can leave a PUBLIC opinion of him in. Just thought there might be some opinions you would like to share with him.

I'm putting in a claim and giving his info at paypal also cause he stiffed me for the undertail he was selling

Spend a few minutes on the web before you send money to anyone. Sending money to anyone who has advertised themselves as "a real *** *****" is probably not a smart move.

Can we sign him up for a bunch a gay magazine subscritptions? not that there's anything wrong with that.............

I hope you didn't mean the undertail he had listed for $25 or so . He sent me pics when i asked about it and it turned out that it was just the stock plastic, not really a "undertail". I pulled out from the deal then because most people would of list it as stock pieces and not advertised as a undertail like what the aftermarket provides.
