Shoei X-11 Daijiro Kato Large helmet - 56k warning

Selling my Shoei X-11 Daijiro Kato Large helmet after Monday 1/29/07 - $425 shipped
( I'm getting a black & red X-11 on Monday to match the new bike...finally)
This is the Daijiro Kato Memorial version in Large size, silver & blue.
Blue tinted mirror shield and clear shield included.
It is a top of the line helmet....lightweight & quiet!
It has removable liner & cheek pads so you can wash them. (snaps in)
That means you don't have to have s smelly helmet!
Just washed them for the first time last weekend & not worn since.
It is in VERY good condition with a couple small nicks on the back lower area.
I bumped it on the door going into work.
Asking $425 for this helmet that retailed for around $600-$700.
Some say it is a collectors item because they don't make it anymore & it honors Daijiro Kato who was killed in a MotoGP race in 2003.
http://www.highrevs.net/motogp_news/..._biography.php

I have had it for a little over a year.
Matched my blue Superhawk
It has NEVER been crashed or dropped.
Thanks, Bill

Oooh! The Memorial Daijiro! That's my second favorite color - my favorite being the yellow/blue one.

Too bad it's not an XL...but good luck with the sale!

most helmet makers only use one, maybe two, shell sizes with different pads etc. to adjust size. might be worth checking out.

I'd call Shoie & ask first to be sure

After visiting http://www.newenough.com/shoei_cheek...s_x11_page.htm it looks to me like the medium helmet is different from the large.

Hate to lose a sale but I'd rather it fit you right.
You gotta have a helmet that fits correctly.....too much riding on your head to skimp on helmet size

Yes I found out the same thing. The X-11 comes in four different shell sizes:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/shoei/x-eleven/

My head is pretty round, like the author's in this article. Before I crashed it, I was using a Med. X-11, with 31mm cheek pads. The large helmet would be too big on top, unfortunately (but would fit my cheeks!).

Double darn, but it's good to see how much detail goes into the X-11.

Thanks CNI, good luck.
