If the dealer wonders why he still has a 12 year old bike in his show room, he should look at his price. At 20K, there is no way he's going to get it off his hands that easy, or, he would have already done so.

He should cut the price in half, and perhaps then, he would spark interest. He lost so much money off it for so many years, that, any offer right now is a good offer. IMO.

 

If someone is looking for a collectible it has to be new,this one is which is very rare.Price who knows,but if a person were looking for one of these for his collection????

 

I would venture to guess he'll still have it in another 13 years......poor chap obviously dreams in technicolor.......

 

Hahahaha! Bill's Cycle....he's a local dealer near me. The guy is a collector and has a pile of bikes with 0kms on them, some are still in the shipping crates from Honda. He wont sell any of them, I swear he puts a price, albeit a ridiculous one, on them to prove to his wife that he's trying to sell them. He has a brand new CR250, last of the 2 strokes, that he's asking $50,000 for. I went in to see about buying a CBR1100 Blackbird from him with 8000 kms on it and he wanted $8900 for it, 6 years ago...and its still listed at that price today.
Granted, he's a nice guy, and the place is pretty cool, almost like a Honda museum, there are brand new bikes from the late 70's to current on display on a ledge around the entire showroom. If it was any kind of special edition, he got it and kept it for himself.

 

I hope Bill's wife isn't on this forum.
