Ya but everyone seems to be wise to the fact that they are sought after and they are all $80+ for a used unit and most don't say if its MOSFET or not, I'm looking to spend less than that.

Be patient and look for other models listed in the MOSFET thread too...I got my R1 for just over $30 shipped from eBay a couple months ago.

 

What is it off of (assuming its not from a newer SH)? I keep seeing people getting them for <$40, but if I can't find one for a good price ill take it.

I've got the stock unit I can give you for $5. There was nothing wrong with it when I took it out, except I read what it was/is prone to do. So I bought the reccomended one, I honestly forget how much I paid for it at the time, it was a while ago and since I won't be needing it for a while and you seem to need it, how about $45 plus the $4.95 priority shipping box? You'll see two pictured in my thread, you can see both part numbers, I know which is which simple because of how I'm disassembling and keeping track of my parts for tear down/rebuild. Here's a couple shot's I've pulled from my thread....

The r/r laying on the rear tire is the mosfet, the one laying in the grouping of stock parts is the stock one I replaced with the one on the tire. Check the part number (can see it in pic) and let me know if you're game - $45 + small priority box shipping, paypal : ) Can go out tomorrow in the am too

 

Lovemyhawk007, I hadn't heard from you and my bike is my main transportation (been sharing my wifes car for a week now, luckily we work somewhat similar hours and within a half mile of each other) so I needed to get it back on the road ASAP. I already have one on the way, but I'm still on the edge of picking up your trex sliders from you.

lol! Too funny mang, he just called me about mine, lol, lol, lol. The Rex Sliders were installed and riden with for 20 miles, then un-installed, they're as "almost new" as you can get without dropping $70 for a brand new in the package set off Fleabay... $50 and they're yours, I'll get the priority shipping box to boot! Can't beat that with a stick, come over the edge! Lovemyhawk need's a new pair of shoes! lol, jk, do need some dollares however. Sorry about not getting back too quickly over the last few days, my roommate is a whack job and I've been dealing with him.

 

No worries, usually a few days is no biggie but I want to start rising again ASAP.

How did you like the sliders? I've seen mixed reviews on them and they seem to mount very high and forward on the bike, do they keep everything protected when its down? I have bar sliders but no others.

 

See, that's the thing, I've never been down on a hawk, the sliders are like I said, almost right out of the box new. They do sit a tad high, I'm 6'4" but they weren't an issue, they might have been uncomfortable in a panic stop situation, but I haven't needed to panic stop on my hawk, either... Anyhow, I think you're second in line for the sliders too? if the guy sent me the paypal or still intended to, then they're sold. If not you can shoot me a pm and get in line for them, try to check my thread for updates to what's available as the interest in what I've got is growing daily
