Parting out '98 VTR in Southern California

Just purchased a used(and mechanically neglected) 98 Superhawk with a "locked" engine according to the previous owner. He thought it was a CCT issue that caused the lock up, but it turns out the engine was seized due to a spun main bearing.

Decided to part this one out instead of fixing it

I'm located in Duarte, California. All prices are WITHOUT shipping. Please PM me for a shipping quote!

Some stuff I have up on ebay as well. The prices are a little cheaper here on the forums since I won't have to pay the ebay sellers fee if they sell here.

That's not the way we roll...

Follow the rules or this post is gone:

1. Post a price. Say if shipping is extra or included in price.

2: Post your location, and any buyer locations your not willing to ship to.

3: Post at least one clear picture of the part, assembly, or bike being offered for sale. More is better to a point... if you have a great many high quality shots, consider posting just one or two directly, and linking to the others. That keeps page load times down.

4. All sales will be through PMs. No email addys or Paypal addys are to be posted. The seller is responsible to sell the item to the first responder if the deal works out. If not then it will go to the next person who sends a PM, and so on.

5. eBay links may be posted, however the seller must post a price here and be willing to end the eBay auction early for Superhawkforum.com members.

6. Failure to follow the above rules may result in the post being removed and/or loss of privileges to use the Classified forum.

Thanks for clarifying. I'll have to edit the original post with pics and prices when I have more time this weekend.

Does the fuel sender unit work? Mine is out

My heart skipped a beat on that 900RR brace, then I realized it probably wasn't welded yet otherwise I'd call dibs haha

TBH I don't know. It had about 2 gallons of gas in it before I disassembled the bike, and the fuel light was not on with the key on. The bike didn't run when I purchased it.

Sorry about that!

I've just been lurking the forums the last couple of weeks and noticed that it was a popular conversion. I've had the 900RR swingarm for awhile now collecting dust from another project that I never finished(VFR750 track bike).

I put some stuff up on ebay. Here's a link kostritzer | eBay

Prices are better if you buy them from me direct through the SH forum!

I have a bunch of stuff left guys. Some of the smaller things are not listed yet(switches, ignition boxes, etc.), but I'm working on it.

Let me know what you're looking for, It's pretty likely I still have it. The prices I have listed are not set in stone BTW!

I'm interest in any of the electical ingnition equipment. both boxes in the tail under the seat, ingnition coils, stator, even instrument cluster tack.
(not to get into too much on this thread, but trying to trouble shoot a missing probem and dont know what to do other than replace parts)
Running on one cylinder
Do you still have this stuff how much would you want for it?

I added some pics of the cowl to the original posting. What other solo seat parts are you referring to?

Carbs are complete. PM me your email address and I'll send you some pics. I'd recommend cleaning them before installation, they've been sitting for a couple of months now.

I do still have both mirrors, but the backsides are scratched up. The fender is still available and in good shape. I'll throw the mirrors in with the fender if you decide to buy it
