Parting out 1998 Superhawk

I'm in the process of building my own frame that looks like a Ducati Monster with a SH engine in it. So, everything except the engine, wiring harness, carbs & gauges are for sale. The frame has a salvage title. I don't know why, I rode it as a complete bike before starting this project and it didn't do anything silly at speeds over 100mph, & when I had it on a frame fixture, the motormount bolts slid right out. The fairing & tail section are black & the tank is red. The radiators are slightly askew, but tight. Write me with your wants & needs. I'm seriously motiveated to make some room in my garage. Kurt

Welcome aboard. Custom frame? Very cool. We'll definitely need to see some pics of your work. How/what are you going to title it as?

I'll try to get some pictures soon. I'm out of town & signed up while I had the time. In Calif you can take down major reciepts to the DMV with various inspections & after what I'm guessing what will be a lot of resistance, they will issue a registration. Kurt

I'll have to look when I get home to see how much was saved & how it was saved. I had help disassembling it that really wasn't much help. I'm pretty sure I have all of the tank & seat mounting hardware. I'll get back to you. Thanx, Kurt

Response to questions about parts

I'm glad to say I've been overwhelmed with people asking about parts. I'm also glad to tell all of you that I'm back in the country & back amongst the living(jetlag sucks!). I'm not computer savvy enough to know how to reply to each of you personally with pictures though the forum website. If you will please e mail me at konahic@yahoo.com I will get back to you quickly. Thanx, Kurt

You cannot send pics via PM but you can send email addresses back and forth. The rule is there so that I don't have members posting "I have dibs" posts in the classified section with others sending PMs either before or after. Keeping all sales done by the same method simplifies things.
