To Part or Not to Part

That is the question...

The day has finally come for a new project and Spring cleaning the garage out is required. Up for grabs is a well documents 2002 STG1 Superhawk (never thought I'd ever sell her) for $3500.00 picked up in or near Lithia, FL 33547.

I figure parting it out would bring more bucks, but would be a shame cuz all those sweet parts works so well together

However, I'm not leaving the Forum cuz you guys are great, but keep your eyes peeled for my next build

The lucky buyer will get the luggage rack with 3 bags and the front & rear Pit Bull stands.

It's a good thing your bike is on the wrong coast.

$3500 is a steal. It will make someone very happy.

Let's see...
You're selling your shim kit, so it's not an RC51...

You must be headed for the dark side.

Morwi is Rick's own super-secret cam supplier.

Not to be confused with Moriwaki - no relation.

It wasn't work it was an adventure! I'd do it again in a NY minute.

I just hope somebody will take my baby whole cuz it would be a crying shame to part her out.

$3,500? Really? You need to break out the wrenches and part that thing out if that's all you can get out of it whole. I can get $3,500 parting out a beat down turd of a VTR any day of the week (actual timespan may vary) Regardless, it's always sad to see a builder part with their blood sweat and tears... whole or in pieces. Good luck with the sale either way!

Just seeing this thread. Really surprised nobody has picked it up for that price. its one time ebay can actually be helpful selling a bike. You just have to find the right person. I think people are wary of buying a heavily modified bike - they just don't know the time/work put into it and being cautious. It is a pain to part them out and like you said you have all the parts working well together. plus you always end up with some major parts left behind that seem to take forever to sell. I think its why I'll just end up keeping mine forever. Good luck, its good to get new projects going.

Alex, while that is a very tempting offer I don't watch Jersey Shore and it's still COLD up there!

Come down to FL where it's nice and warm and I'll introduce you to my monster Superhawk

I'd say I'd come take it off your hands but I just spent too much on a hawk that broke down on me!

So are you parting out the whole bike?

*if so I call dibbs on the ecu/icm if the price is right!
