North Jersey Dealer with 2 SH
The Cycle Exchange has two nice SH in North Jersey so I figured I would share for someone looking to buy a Hawk.
2004 Black w/ gold wheels - $3999
Honda 2004 Super Hawk VTR1000F
1998 Red - $3499
Honda 1998 SuperHawk 996
Both have under 15K miles.

The black one is "all stock". So the tinted screen, chopped fender, small signals, and removed baffles, must have been some sort of special factory options? Not a bad price for the '04
The red one looks pretty good in the pictures, besides the rash on the engine cover. Don't know if the Yosh exhaust and the double bubble screen compensate for the rash & other scratches that are likely on it.
Both seem like they would be a decent buy for $500 off the asking price. Hopefully some wiggle room in their prices.

In the end the market will tell; they'll both sit there forever.

Since when does that matter in regard to motorcycles that have just about bottomed out in price? Functionally they are the same and the 98 has some mods that may add or subtract value depending upon your point of view.

Italian Red
As and aside, I just got some classy parts from Superdutyd and some carb parts from RonAyers that will go in this week and just to show you what a sport I am I'll take some pics and post 'em. Today I turned the sync adjuster screw cc 1/4 turn and voila it is smoother idling and running. Well, it's only a twin, not a multi, so not to hard to notice it's smoother and therefore closer to being right. I'll use the carb stix to finish up, anyway.
