Hello everyone , I'm new here and a avid offroad rider and my dad agreed to help me buy a bike , I'm almost 17 and should have my mc lic by end of summer , my dad found a completely roached out 1998 vtr1000f , it had been stolen and beat down petty bad , my dad wrenches on the offroad bikes and can fix anything , he seams to think these bikes are good ,some how he got it to fire up and it sounds great , here are some parts i need first , I'm gonna make the whole list but since he bought the bike I will buy parts with my summer job , I live right in the middle of California so I'm hoping not to ship too far ,, thanks everyone I think this will be a great adventure1. The right side riders foot peg and all brake components to rear wheel
2.wiring loom , and key switch , it's all coming outta the light area but it's a complete mess
3. Both sides of handlebar switches
4. Front and rear rims ,
5. Hydraulic clutch is there but doesn't build pressure ?
6.exhaust , it's just oem but it's roached
7. Complete body and seat ,, looks like after it was stolen the went mad max
Even if you have a direction on where to look or a bike that's blown up let me know ,,, peace out brothers

 

I have 2 stock oem cans in great shape that I will sell for $75+shipping. And I live in utah so I am close. I also have a stock headlight and also a left aide mirror if you want it all then I would sell it for 150+shipping

 

I have a rear wheel, in fact two. $50 each plus shipping.

This is awesome ,, the part I'm really worried about before wheels and stuff is the right side peg , it's fastened to the swing arm and it's just a broken junk ,, I see all these frames and part outs ,, is this piece common to destroy on right side crash
