Need exhaust slip on
Like the title says I'm in need of the right exhaust slip on (looking at it from the back). Got my Hawk a year ago and the guy had two brothers carbon fiber slip ons, and the vtwin ate one of them up. Has a hole the size of a tennis ball in it, and I've tried repairing it in many different ways. (Any good ideas on fixing it would be appreciated too!)
But I'm posting here to see if anyone has any OEM cans laying around, or an aftermarket brand thats not too pricey... I just cant afford a new $600 set and I'm sick of running a straight header lol. Thanks

Post up some pics. Depending on where the hole is cheap options could include shortening the mufflers. You may be able to get replacement sleeves from two brothers, or you could scour ebay and get another matching (or two) two brothers muffler. It could be patched with carbon fiber and resin. Goes without saying if you put the miles on carbon cans they do need to be repacked.

You could try these. They are very affordable. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=DD835TqHUj8http://www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/vtr-1...nbkim65fjt96f7
These are made from Texalium which is fiberglass coated with aluminum. More heat resistant than CF and more flexible too. I'm hoping they will last for a while, but as inexpensive as they are, it wouldn't hurt to replace the cans occasionally.
The once bright silver cans are taking on a slight gold/bronze tint as they age, which I find pleasing.
Definitely get the baffles too, as they tend to be a bit raspy without. The baffles turn them into a very nice sounding set of pipes and act as restrictors to return the back pressure over open pipes.

KCCO- thanks for all the suggestions. The OEM pipes that krongsak has would be the best for my price range (broke college student here )
captainchaos- The hole is smack dab in the middle of the can. I've considered shortening, but it really would be too small for me. I have tried to contact two brothers about getting a replacement sleeve, but with no luck. These are an older model and I couldn't find any on ebay. And also like I mentioned to KCCO I am on a budget. I have tried repacking them and using a high-heat resitant muffler tape, but the tape didn't bond
rzracer- thanks, I will check into those
Pm'd everyone else

Tried doing some more patch work on the exhaust, still not satisfied.
Therefore, I'm still in need of exhaust!! What do you have?
Also, does anyone know if the stock exhaust cans would slip on to my current pipe set-up with the two bros slip-ons? Just not sure if they are all the same size ?
