I fixed mine with superglue. Has held up very well and I don't feel that bad when I scrape up against something or my son rear ends me! First bike might take a bit of abuse, be careful!

I just used a product called plastex (also called plastifix) to rebuild a lot of broken mounting tabs on an older bike and a few cracks. there are some good utube videos demonstrating it. but it is AMAZING stuff. I think it would be a very easy job to fix what is cracked yourself. I had not used plastic repair kits before but worked easy. The other members also recommended plastic welding with really good results.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). As far as ABS is concerned it is 100% as good as new, I knew P-chem was good for something. For cracks just let capillary action draw it in for large stuff melt abs shaving in it to make a goo or bond more abs (legos) to the back.

Any harware store will have MEK - its a solvent, so look in the paint section.

P-chem... What did I learn? switch to engineering! (and it only took me one semester)
