Heli Bars VTR1000 Superhawk
These are Heli Bars that are in excellent condition. Never dropped or crashed. I will include O.E.M. bar end weights which are also in great condition. These handlebars are no longer made and hard to find. I paid over $300 for these new. I am asking $200 shipped. Contact me and I can E-mail larger photos.
I am in the southbay area of Los Angeles.

what do these do in terms of forward/back, up/down, angle up/down. Do they require fairing mod? Did you sell your bike or why are you selling? I don't know how they would work with my rearsets? Might be difficult to sell here since you're new to the forum and basically an unknown entity. Seems like a fair price.

They move your wrists up and in for a slightly more upright riding position. But you miss the point. The problem with the stock equipment is not the position it's the alloy the bars were made from. I promise you, on my bike the bars would ring like a bell at certain rpm's and it kills your hands.
I installed the Heli's and without the weights, bar ends - nothing - the vibration was hugely better. It's the angle but it's also the bar.
At least that's what I keep telling the GF.

Okay, The bars are 1 1/8" taller, 1/2" back, 1/2" wider. Retains all stock cables (throttle), and hydraulic lines (brake and clutch). They do not require fairing modification. However, they do not have a set position, so depending on your positioning they can honk the horn at full lock. They can be mounted where they won't honk or hit anything. I did sell the bike to my brother. (had to keep it in the family)... so I can buy it back someday. He is taking long long rides so I mounted ATV bars using a triple clamp set made by ABM. I believe it is made in Germany. (this kit requires a ton of mods: fairing, windshield trimming, longer brake lines)(look at new pics) I figured because nobody knows me I might have a difficult time selling here. I just thought I would give it try before Ebay. Let me know how I can earn trust around here. Anybody near Rancho Palos Verdes that is known here? Let me know. I am an independent M/C mechanic for a long time in the Southbay area of Los Angeles. Here are pics of bike w/ ABM kit. Also the latest adventure of the Superhawk.

I have a set on mine that I bought through the SH Forum from a member years ago. It was one of the best mods I did to my SH in terms of comfort. With the stock bars, my hands tingled a bit after a longer ride. Not so with the Heli-bars. Because I run the high beams all the time, I have no issues with it turning the switch on when I turn the bars full tilt. If your thinking of buying them, what are you waiting for? You will be glad you did.
Good luck with the sale.
