I have only been riding the Hawk since this year, so I don't have a ton of experience with it, but I have that same exact protector and it has worked great for me so far.

Sorry it has taken a while for me to get back to this post but I have been gone this past week. 1971 has dibs on the levers and signals. I will figure shipping prices tomorrow.
The leather protector works great. Only thing is once it is in the rain, you are going to want to remove it to dry the tank as some moisture will get between the tank protector and the tank.
Let me know if there are anymore questions.

I have a Similar LP Leather Tank Protecter except with the carbon fiber finish. I have been riding with it for over 4 years rain and shine. I usually ride right up to the tank on
my saddle road twisty rides. Gives me a lot of grip and protects the tank well. It has
held up very well, mounts solidly with four clips along the bottom tank sides and a long
elastic strap that goes around the front and under the tank. I would recommend this
tank protector. Finish is still very nice. Also protects the finish of the tank, where the
seat meets the tank.

[QUOTE=silverja1866;305741]I'm interested in the Sargent seat. How much? Thanks. Joe[Quote]
I didn't realize the Sargent seat was for sale But I guess since you asked, $1,000,000 should do it.
Actually, not sure why you thought the seat was for sale but it isn't. I love that seat and therefore it has my love all over it and I'm sure you don't want that You can make an offer but I'm guessing you could buy one new for what it would cost for me to sell it.

Aloha silverja, I just got a notification from the forum about the sargent seat.
I just picked up a Sargent seat. It is not for sale, but feels really good. Big improvement over the stock one. Were you trying to get in touch with Doc?

Sorry, I guess I didn't refresh my screen. Noticed that Doc did a reply. I also would'nt sell mine, except for maybe
a newer one plus $ for time to reinstall my rear cowl on it. Took me some time. I finally just removed the two hooks, slid the cowl on and remounted the hooks. This will really
save you time and wear on the seat backend.

Wes, just shipped the signals and levers. Expected delivery is Monday June 13th. I was surprised it would be that fast but they assured me that is when it would be delivered so let me know.

Doc,
Received Signals and Levers Yesturday. Didn't get to open the box till this morning.
Everything packed nice and snug, still got some polish on the signals. Everything fine.
Thanks for the fast shipping and good packing. Great talking, err, communicating to you. Nice extra factory parts, just in case...(knock wood)!
