I've owned this bike for 5 trouble free years. Amazing Honda reliability.
Selling with a heavy heart but I don't ride it enough to justify keeping it.
1998 with 20624 miles. All maintenance performed. Valves checked 500 miles ago and within spec. Oil just changed and air filter replaced.
Never raced but I've taken it to a few track days (I'm a mid B group rider).
Has VFR750 bars installed (more comfortable for street -- originals included), front braided brake lines and custom mirror extenders.
Only damage (from the first owner) is to left side of tank (approx size of a quarter, visible in left side picture) and to left side of rear plastic. Both where he dropped bike. Otherwise in excellent condition and mechanically very good.
Asking $4000 based on KBB blue book of $4555.
Also the following extras are available at extra cost:
Sargeant WorldSport Seat (griptex): $175
RC51 front Master Cylinder/Brake Lever: $75
Extra set of wheels (front and rear with disks/sprockets): $400
Extra wheels were for track days, as was the RC51 master cyclinder (dramatically increased front brake performance). 3 of the 4 tires have 2/3 tread or better.
