FS: Front wheel with rotors

Straight, has the usual dings from changing tires and pulling calipers (I put the ones in the pictures on it...). Rotors are straight as far as I know. I swapped to 954rr front end, so I don't need it. Approx 20k miles on it, I have a so-so tire I'll throw in for free if you want it. Pretty sure I have the axle somewhere, will try to find that.

$250

Price includes shipping to lower 48 via UPS, or Speedee if you're close enough to me (57107).

I think it's worth more than $125, but maybe that's just me. I had a few PMs about straight rotors and front wheel when I did my front end swap, so I figured I'd give the forum first shot at it.

i dont know. the rotors look like they have been left outside for quite a while. you can pick up new rotors for under 400 and these do not look half as good as new. the rim is like 30-40 bucks on ebay. I would say 150 is about the tops.

I think you might be a little high (maybe $50 or so) but $30-$40 for a straight wheel....really. Also the rotors look fine, alittle rust is nothing, the first time you apply the brakes all the will be gone or if your real **** about it a scothbright pad will clean it right off in a couple of minutes of work.

I haven't seen them that cheap especially with the rotors. Hell the only wheel on e-bay right now is a rear with no rotor and beat to **** for $125.

It might just be me but it really seems like everyone wants stuff for nothing anymore.....Name: idunno.gif

That one is $120 & has NO BIDS .

You are right about everyone wanting stuff for nothing, that's always the case but made even worse by the current general economic conditions.

i have seen "straight wheels" with minor cosmetic impefections (front rims) go for 40 dollars on both ebay and CL. the rotors have a little rust which can be taken off but they also have 20k mi on them and probably 9 years of exposure. I really wish the guy luck with the sale but i think he is a bit high.

only 20k in 9 years..... I guess you don't take your bike out much, but age and\or mileage has nothing to do with the condition of the rotor. The only real thing to look at is how close they are to the wear limit.

Yes you might have seen wheels that cheap at one time or another but lets look at the other extreme, if you go to a bike wrecking yard they normally charge 50% of new, so what does Honda get for these parts???
Front Wheel sub assy (you need bearings right?) - $463.64
and then rotors - $286.95 ea

So if you look at it from that point $250 isn't all that bad. I guess it all depends how bad you need a front wheel

The wheel hasn't been "left outside for a while". It's been stored in my garage since I bought the bike. I came up with $250 thinking somewhat along the same lines as 8541Hawk. Yes, it's used with 20k miles, but it's got plenty of life left. I tried searching for past sales from the forum and through eBay, and thought $250 was close when you factor in shipping & packaging for it. I'm not trying to screw anyone or get rich, but I'm not here to give **** away.

Well I broke it down like this:
Wheel - $100
Pair of rotors - $100
Shipping - $35 - $40
Packing - $10-$15

So $250 isn't all that bad Name: idunno.gif

I did say that was around $50 too much but I didn't notice that he included shipping in the price

God, you guys are cheap!

if i didnt go to an F4i front wheel and rotors i'd be buying it.

when i was looking for front rotors for my VTR wheel i'd have killed to have found em with a wheel for $250.

do yourself a favour and dont settle....watch how quickly they will change their tune when they low side and slam their front wheel into the curb and bend it...all of a sudden 250 bones to get your ride back aint that bad at all.

VTR rotors are rare, anyway u slice it...even with looking up F3 and VFR750 rotors they are still rare.

Thank you, that was my thinking and why I figured $250 was fair. None of the wheels on eBay or the forum that I found had rotors, and new or aftermarket ones are quite spendy. I figured there might be someone out there that still needed a straight front rim and/or rotors, and this one just needs a tire and you're set ( might want new bearings too, I guess) .

Nope I don't need the wheel as I'm just about ready to hang an RC51 front end on mine (want to know how hard that front wheel was to find??), nor have I ever met or associated with Syclone, before you ask.

Just stating my opinion .

If I'm asking too much, I'll take offers via PM. If it's still not sold by Thursday I might put it on eBay.
