SOLD: FS: 97 VFR800 Clipons and heavy bar end weights

SOLD SOLD SOLD

The clipons are kind of marked up as you can tell (Not sure how that happened, bought them that way),l but the controls and grips cover most of it anyway. Nothing wrong with them, just prepping the bike for sale. I already ground down the placement tabs since they are on opposite sides the VTR clipons. These are a great way to alleviate some of pressure on your wrists, and it definitely made a difference for me. I'm not sure if the stock brake lines would work with these because I ended up upgrading my lines anyway.

The bar end weights are a total of 18 oz. together and do help out as well. The ends of the clipons are straight/flat, so these flat bar ends fit them perfectly. I loved this combo.

Did you have to trim the fairing for these?

I have the same bars. I had to trim the fairing, and shim under the mirrors to force the fairing up a bit so the stock controls wouldn't rub at full lock.

Much more comfortable.

You will have to if you don't want them to hit, but I never trimmed mine. At full lock both directions, the fairing will be pushed up but not damaged. I just left it that way because I never got around to doing the trimming. Probably the most annoying thing was when they were full lock to the right, it would depress the highbeam switch.

Would also depend a little on how far forward or back you have these clipons rotated
