FS: 2 new, 520-pitch 44 teeth sprockets

The spare parts clean-out continues.....

Two, brand new (never mounted) 44-teeth, 520 pitch alloy rear sprockets (for VTR, obviously). One is by Renthal, the other by Talon. Asking for $30 each or $55 for both (shipping extra). See links below:

Talon (Like one in link except 520-pitch):
HONDA CBR900 RRT-RRX FIREBLADE 96-99 TALON REAR SPROCKET 44 TEETH | eBay

Renthal (Like one in link except 520-pitch):
RENTHAL REAR SPROCKET 44 T TO FIT HONDA CBR 900 RR FIREBLADE 1992-1995 | eBay

FWIW, using these with a stock-size 16-teeth countershaft sprocket will give you overall gearing similar to 15/41 but with longer chain life....

Thanks for looking

Right from the first time I rode my bike I have been thinking that slightly lower gearing would just make the bike a bit more tractable at very low speeds. I was thinking one tooth down on front, but this makes more sense really. With no experience with changing gearing my only concern is whether this will work with the standard chain length.

I think this would require a longer chain (104 links instead of the stock 102). IIRC, adding two teeth to the rear sprocket (ie. going to a 43) is about max. Of course, when you buy a new chain, it typically needs to be cut to the correct length anyhow so it just means cutting it to 104 links instead of 102......

Thanks for the quick response

Thanks. I guess I will just leave things as they are for now. Just need a bit of careful clutch work at low speeds.

How much do you estimate cheap air shipping to the UK will be for the talon?

I am still waiting to hear back from "chaos". In so far as selling them separately, while I can do it, the truth of the matter is that shipping would/will be very close to identical for sending both so it would be a much better deal to pick up both. I will give chaos another day or so but if I don`t hear back I will move on down the list. I want these gone.

cheers

Since it seems no one wants both, I will split them up.... I will be in touch tomorrow evening with shipping estimates. Thanks for your interest, and your patience.
