FS: 1997 Firestorm - UK, Hampshire
Sorry to post this here, but I know there's a few UK based Firestorm riders on here, so i'll hope you'll forgive me
Bit of a long one this, but hopefully manage to catch most of the good points.
Firestorm R reg 1998
Silver
28K miles
Location : Farnborough, Hampshire (GU14)
MOT'd to October 2012
Taxed to 31/05/12
Number of former keepers - One.
Good bits :
Recent chain and tyres
Braided rear brake line
Ohlins rear shock with remote adjuster
APE camchain tensioner on front cylinder
Clip on bars
Harris rearsets (with bracket on the rear brake light switch to actuate the rear brake light)
Yamaha reg/regulator (finned type) upgrade
Stage 1 camshafts
Dynojetted by Revolution racing
Mototechnik Crash bungs
Not so good bits.
The fairing isn't great. It has been cracked, repaired and fibreglassed on the back of the fairing on both sides. I put this on to replace the race fairing that it had, and to get it road-legal for MOT, so it's functional and
complete, but it's not that pretty.
I could strip it and sell the good bits individually, but I really don't have the time or inclination, as i'm emigrating to Ireland soon, so i'd rather sell the bike complete.
It rides, goes and stops like a dream, it also has a significant power uplift due to the cams (don't forget to declare them to your insurance .. !)
I'm not sure what it's worth with the extras, as standard bikes seem to be moving for about £1500 UKP on Ebay. How about some offers over £1500 ?
Pics available on request, as is my mobile number if you want to discuss it in more detail
Cheers,
Paul.
